Post 3 'Characterisation'

What is a Protagonist and a Antagonist?


A protagonist a a character in a film who always ends up in conflict because of the antagonist. The audience are shown that the protagonist is the hero and the antagonist is the villain. The protagonist because they are the main character get more screen time.


Superman is a protagonist character as he helps society and protects the civilians against any danger.
    

Antagonist

This is a character who is portrayed as the villain and usually has a battle with the protagonist. However they may not always be a villain as they may just go against what the protagonist stands for.

The 'joker' in the dark knight, is a typical antagonist character as he tries to harm society and cause danger and panic. Also he fights 'Batman' as Batman (protagonist) tries to stop him.
